in British Columbia, Canada ![]() Bob Marshall launched his illustrious 40 + years career by serving a 7-year apprenticeship with his father Bob "Pops" Marshall -farrier for the famous Grand National winner "Red Rum' - then worked for several years in England shoeing International Show Jumpers, Three Day Event Horses, and Steeple Chasers. In 1975 he came to Canada, where he became the farrier instructor for Northern Lights College, & Kwantlen University College. Over the years, he has taught in Canada, the U.S.A., Australia, & New Zealand and became the former coach of the North American & Canadian Farrier Teams. Some of his other accomplishments include winning the prestigious "Royal Show Championship" in England, "The World Championship Calgary Stampede" (five times!), the 1990 AFA Clinician of the Year, and membership in the Farriers' Hall of Fame in Canada & the USA. |
